2nd Vice President
Born and raised on the sun-kissed shores of Dominica, I might not have traded my childhood coconut water for textbooks if you’d asked me back then. Yet, fate dealt me a hand of “littles”, equations and beakers, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Now, with most of my life woven into the vibrant tapestry of the United States, I spend my days as a Math and Science instructional coach, igniting young minds in and out of the classroom.
Even though I come from a large family, for over twenty years, my Zeta Phi Beta Sorority sisters have been my chosen family, a constant source of strength and laughter…..oh the laughter! I’ve worn many hats in our chapter – Epistoleus, Hospitality Chair, Scholarship Chair, and Third Anti-Basileus. Now, I proudly serve as Second Anti-Basileus, guiding new and “seasoned” members along the path of sisterhood.
It’s funny how life works, Education never crossed my mind, but when it did, it embraced me like the warm Caribbean breeze. And here I am, a testament to the power of unexpected passions, thriving in a world of numbers and bubbling concoctions. Ask me anything – from dissecting a frog to mastering quadratic equations – and I’ll show you why this island girl found her forever home in the classroom.
I’m thankful to God for my story. Like the ever-changing hues of a Dominican sunset, it is just getting started.
